What I like about producing an entirely new web site is that one needs to know something about everything to succeed - web hosting, system administration, writing, layout, image processing, web advertising, publishing, to name just a few. Developing the basics for this site took quite some time, but now that they are almost ready I can finally test all the ideas by adding something that this site has been designed for - articles about the Supermarine Spitfire.
Tonight is the premiere day with the first three articles to be published online. True to my previous IPMS experience and interest in modelling, these first updates are modelling articles in the (also new) Modelling Section.
I hope that you'll like these new additions. Expect more in the near future!

- First, an excellent 1/48 model by Ricardo Dacoba, Argentina representing one of the most unique Spitfires ever used - a captured machine re-engined with Daimler-Benz DB 605.
- Mark Davies from New Zealand introduces one of the latest additions to Czech Master Resin's complement of 1/72 Spitfire kits, the Seafire F. 46.
- Last but not least, a diorama which you might have previously seen on the web, but one which fits well on this site due to it's subject and quality. Anders Isaksson's Battle of Britain diorama entitled "Made It Home"
I hope that you'll like these new additions. Expect more in the near future!

The DB 605 engined Spit well deserves a place in any Spitfire line-up. I can see I'm going to have to raid Messerschmitt bits and do this in 1/72 scale. Thanks Ricardo, for the inspiration. Another fine model.
Mark, I'm pleased to see another 1/72 modeller here. Wish I could walk into my local hobby shop and buy these kits. You've put this one together really nicely and it's obviously a quality product which, I imagine is a joy to build. Let's see some more of your efforts!
Anders' diorama is very nice too and reminds me a similar project I have underway in !/72 has been neglected for too long. Nice to know others think along the same lines. Seeing the work of all you fellow modellers fires up my enthusiasm for the long spell of time off that's coming to me soon so I can do some more serious modelling! Thanks fellers!
