• A new two-part article in the History section is entitled Jungle Survivor - A Spitfire Pilot's Escape from Japanese-Occupied Borneo. The article tells the story of F/O Fred Inger, pilot of No. 457 "Grey Nurse" Squadron RAAF, who had to bail out over Borneo and managed to escape back to his unit.
  
  
• A review of Spitfire-related aviation art in the Art & Memorabilia gallery continues. Two new paintings added today are Stanislav Fejfar's Spitfire Mk. VB and Sqn/Ldr McKay's Spitfire Mk. VIII - by Vladimir Urbanek and Noel Barnes respectively.
  
  
• Readers' comments pour now at a steady pace in the Historic Photographs section. Prompted by one of these posts, I have further researched and revised the text accompanying the image of Enigma Bare-metal Spitfire, and I think I'm closer to the definitive description of this aricraft.
