The
RAF 90th Anniversary Festival is concludes its second week and I'm glad to see that contributions are pouring in - so far we've had a respectable 16 new additions to the site as part of the festival. Today we'll adding five more. Recently I have received a series of new aviation drawings from Pavel Rampir of Czech Republic on various RAF subjects. They are stunning, have a look.
- Five new items have been added in the Art & Memorabilia gallery. First to go is Chasing the V-1, a dynamic scene showing a duel between the Sptifire Mk. XIV and a buzz bomb.
- "The CO's Query" commemorates No. 32 Squadron's role in Greece, and the tradition of using "?" instead of an aircraft identification letter.
- Typhoon trouble - the Tiffy, a forced landing and a rather fortunate pilot.
- Beware of the low-flying Mosquitos - beating up an airfield with two Merlins.
- "The Last" is a portrait of the final production PR Spitfire, the Mk. XIX.
