Here is my second submission to this site, a model of Spitfire Mk. IXc of No. 127 "Kenley Wing" flown by W/Cdr. James E. "Johnnie" Johnson, June 1944. The kit is Hasegawa Spitfire Mk. IX in 1/48 scale.
The invasion stripes and markings on the wings were painted rather than decalled.
The special "beer carrier" modification was a peculiarity which occurred as the first RAF fighter units moved to France. Two barrels of this liquid could be carried on standard bomb shackles. Cheers!
Greetings from Emmental, Switzerland.
