Spitfire in Saigon
Here are pictures of my 1/48 Academy Spitfire FR Mk. XIVe in the markings of No. 273 Squadron, based at Tan Son Nhut AB, Saigon, French Indo-China during the Autumn of 1945.
I added the KMC update kit to improve upon the Academy offering. I used Aeromaster decals, but contrary to their instructions painted the model in Dark Earth and Dark Green camouflage as described in the Scale Aircraft Monographs RAF Fighters 1945 - 1950 Overseas Based by Paul Lucas.
