Pilot of No. 442 Squadron RCAF Flight Lieutenant Arnold Roseland who flew the Y2-K Spitfire on 65 combat sorties from March 1944. Roseland was commanding the 'B' flight of the squadron. He gained fame by engaging and downing two Focke-Wulf Fw 190s in a single sortie over the Normandy beachheads, but was himself killed in a dogfight in the same area on July 13, 1944
